My air shock is in good condition but I had to remove it to replace the rubber boot, when I collapsed it a small amount of red liquid shot out of it, looked like ATF as it was red.
My question is, am I supposed to empty and replenish the fluid and if so how much should be in there.
See attached photo.
Thanks in advance
Alex

Re: GL1500 rear Air Shock
ATF is commonly used (although you can also use fork oil). If it has been completely drained (meaning pumped up and down, all fluid expelled) it should take 4.9 ounces of fluid (145cc).
