Looks like part of the shaft of a flex-twist control.
No idea where it came from. Idle speed adjuster, maybe?

Re: Help please
Looks to me that it's a DIY overflow pipe from petrol filler overflow catcher or from carburettor overflow. You should have two pipes you can see from underneath the bike that would look something like this.

No, the idle speed adjuster is just a cable inside a black sheath, like a bicycle cable.Solo So Long wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 1:18 pm Looks like part of the shaft of a flex-twist control.

I can't think of anything that I'm familiar with on the bike that looks like that.
To me it almost looks like a fuel intake - like a screen at the end that would go into a fuel tank? Except the distal end is cut at an angle, which is usually indicates it's a drain of some kind.

Are you sure it even belongs to the bike? What were you doing to the bike when you found it?

No I’m not sure it belongs on the bike. It was laying under the bike after I put it on the center stand. I was getting ready to replace the shifter oil seal.

Re: Help please
When I had my 1500, I had it all apart at one point or another down to the frame except for the motor coming out. I never saw anything like that from the bike. It must have been something that was dropped in the black hole that these bikes have and finally found it's way out of the other side!
