Best Footpeg/Highway peg for 99 Aspencade

I'm finally in the market for highway/foot legs for my 99 Aspencade.

What are the best options for these? I've seen some that have my feet sitting outside the engine casing like normal and some that even put my feet underneath the engine casing, which has the benefit of not increasing my profile width. (Appealing because of needing to deal with Southern California freeways & traffic)
What are your thoughts?
