darkside rear tire

Post by go1dwing »

I am wanting to try a car tire on my 1500 Goldwing. I would like purchase it from Walmart. One post stated 195/60-16. Has anyone purchased one from Walmart? What actual size might I look for? Thanks.

Few car tires fit the GL1500. I tried Wally-Martonni (walmart) in search of one. Went through the books and couldn't find one. Went back to Net search.
My next tire to mount is this one (shipped in 4 days)...

Im running a Westlake 195-60 on the back of my '89 1500.
Had some minor rubbing on the inner fender which I solved with a heat gun and some hand pressure.
I run it at 50psi which is 6psi above sidewall stated max.
Under normal easy riding a great tire. But it squirms when pushed. I will look into tires with stiffer sidewall, probably runflat next time.
Enjoying the Darkside
