Re: side luggage doors
One of the MANY adjustments I have to... regularly readjust... is the her side saddlebag hinges. Constantly over stuffing instead of folding or rolling coats, pants, helmet, well not the helmet.
What's also going to break if it hasn't already are your saddlebag side reflector or lights. I acquired a couple spares over the years knowing it will happen again.
Another issue is the hinges roll inward as they're closed. Anything that gets under them, they will bend. BUT, I have a solution.
Open cell foam to the rescue. Fair size block of it under the curved hinge so that nothing can work its way there. Never had THAT issue again. (shweew

Re: side luggage doors
How isthebest way to bend the hinges back right?
Re: side luggage doors
Knowing how they got bent in the first place, then reverse bend them back.
The metal is a bit on the soft side, so be careful not to bent too many times.
The curve tube can be bent by hand using a wood block (or similar) as a movement stopper. That's usually where they bend.
Think it through, go in small bends and watch what movement is happening.
I HIGHLY SUGGEST if they're badly bent and you're going to bent them back, take the catches off.
When I did the 'her side', took me forever to unlatch it since it was so far off it basically got jammed.
