I am going to be getting the right side passenger armrest on my 96 GL1500SE. The part number is COVER, R. ARMREST (R200) (TYPE7)
81150-MN5-000ZN or COVER, R. ARMREST (TYPE1)
81150-MN5-000ZA. One says type1 and the other says type7. Could someone please tell me the difference between type1 and type 7? Or what they are talking about?

The difference is the color. The type 1 is Cosmopolitan Gray and type 7 is Tuscany Red.

Thank you for clearing this up for me. Would the cosmopolitan grey be close to black? That is what color the armrest looks to me.

I don't know exactly what it looks like. You might want to call the business where you plan to order it from and ask them.
