1998 GL1500 Oil in Air Box
Picked up a low miles but apparently not very well maintained 98 GL1500. Noted a slight oil leak. Checked air filter and found it to be full of crap to include leaves. Under the air filter on the seat side of the air box, was probably a good 1/4 cup of oil. Would the clogged air filter cause a vacuum in the air box and draw oil in some how or other or is there a major issue? Thanks Gang

Re: 1998 GL1500 Oil in Air Box
Welcome to the forum.
I would continue with all the maintenance and then maybe check the airbox again in 10,000 miles. Also, there is a rubber hose that drains the air box. It has a plug at the bottom. Pull the plug and clean the line. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE PLUG BACK WHEN DONE! Check this plug every oil change.
