rear shocks

rear shocks
My gl1500 has a issue with rear shocks. I use the on board air compressor. It pumps air but don't see it raise. I reslese air I hear the air leave but no motion from the back. Can you tell me what's wrong

Does the pressure reading change on the LCD?
BTW, you are supposed to only change pressures with the bike on the center stand, so you won't see the changes as they happen.

i have to look at my lcd but it needs to be replace i can the middle of screen. i did not try on center scan. it old bike and the previous owner didn't take care of the mechanical as well as need be. but runs very well. but i am going through it bit by bit to fix things that should of been earlier. i need to test the shocks and make sue they are working great. along with i need to change the lcd. screen i wish they had aN UPGRADE SCREEN. THANKTS FOR ANY HELP OR SUGESTIONS

As said, make pressure adjustments on the center stand, the compressor is not meant to air up the shock with the weight of the bike on it, and it is not a fast change even when on the center stand.

The air shocks do not significantly alter ride height, that is not their intent. The intent of the air ride is to increase or decrease preload damping - how much you "feel" the road at a given load range ( ie. the combined weight of the bike, rider, passenger, and cargo).
