Diamond Custom Seats???

Post by zeoran »

The seat on my 99 Aspencade is wearing down. It got a tear in it that I tried fixing that's not going well and now it's ripping away from the front corner and there's nothing there for me to repair.
I've looked into seat covers, but that's not my best option. I've looked into just replacing with another stock seat... that's my fallback.

I found a place that does custom seats called Diamond Custom Seats. They're based in Florida. They would build me a seat based on my weight and measurements. The whole seat package with driver & passenger backrest and armrest covers is $1,277.

Does anyone have a custom seat by them? Has anyone heard of them? What kind of quality are they? How well they last? Is it worth the cost?
They have a red velour that looks gorgeous. I'm in Southern California, so rain and freezing temps aren't an issue for me.

God bless,

~Mark

Have heard of them and think I've seen photos before. Its been awhile. Many of the aftermarket seats generally use better materials and more layers of different density foam padding. Some of them even say if you need the seat tweaked then send it back and they will adjust it for free. Usually they ask you to send your seat so they can use the factory seat pan. And it takes a few weeks depending on how busy they are. Would imagine the materials are going to hold up to UV and weather. Its so hard to say if its worth it. Have seen some people with 1800s get it done and they look impressive. Not sure how long materials would last. Have seen the insides of a oem seat and there isn't much there to be honest. Just 1 type of foam and then the cover which holds up but can definitely be improved on.

Saw someone at there daytona bike week booth getting a look at a seat by ultimate. The nice thing was they could sit on a couple bikes that had a seat on them to check out the comfort and materials. In 2 tone the seats looked nice and could get a backrest built in. https://ultimateseats.ca/

Ive got one I bought for $150 from another Goldwinger as he traded his bike
don’t know how old it is, but its better than the stock one but I want mine fixed up with new foam and gel, was told about $600-800

there are folks out there some use the factory base

mine came with backrest and arm rest covers

I need mine to be thicker and allow me to sit back more. 660-287-5600 if you want pics

Check out - Russell Cycle Products info@day-long.com

We can’t really make a stock shaped seat with our Day-Long foam. We pour our foam into a saddle shape, which is why all of our seats look like bucket shaped wider than stock seats. They have a spring suspension system in there that requires the shape and width to accommodate.

Beautiful....

I just ordered a custom seat from them. The only downside is the 2-3 week waiting time.

Thanks for the pics!

God bless,
