1500 Exhaust
My 1989 Goldwing 1500, hasn't been sounding right, Last year i changed the oil seal on the shifter and pulled down the left exhaust, didn't see any gaskets on the headers the collector chamber or the mufflers, anyone have any similar issues? I can get all the gaskets from local honda dealer or online, and I do plan to do this but is this normal not to have the gaskets? Bike in neutral or 1st just sounds like a flutter til it gets past 1500rpm's kina like a struggle then its fine. Thanks for any help.

Re: 1500 Exhaust
they are copper and when I took my
manifold off they were stuck in the exhaust ports, just reinstalled my manifold, tightened to what I felt was Ok, no issues.
ran straight headers past two days, loud as hell sounded like a 1.5L race car
gonna put straight pipes on
i’ve been running without a center muffler and love it but want louder but straight pipes might be too much without a radio upgrade
