How do I disable my side stand?

Post by FredDove »

Hi Guys, I have a GL1500 Trike and have removed my side stand. At the moment I have taped up the switch mechanism so the engine does not cut out when I put the bike into gear. If I remove this switch unit by unplugging it from the wiring loom, will this work or do I need to short one of the pins to disable it. Any help will be great. Many thanks.

Yes, the green/white wire needs to be shorted to ground to make the bike think the side stand is up.
