Need inline fuse help.
I have a 1992 Gl1500 and I want to use an inline fuse to replace my dog bone and was wondering if a 60 amp would be the right way to go. Thank you in advance.

Depends on what alternator you have. If it's stock, a 60 amp maxi fuse would do the job. With a high output alternator you will need to go larger.

I'm upgrading my alternator to a LActrical High Output HD 95 Amp. So what would you recommend?

I would say a 100 amp would be ideal. However, because of the size of the stock wiring, Personally I would go with something around 70 amps and be aware that there could be a nuisance trip if the battery is real low. Maybe carry a spare 100 amp fuse for a roadside repair. Do you have a voltmeter or alternator light? One or both of those are really nice to have on a 1500 so you don't get caught out with an alternator or fuse failure.

Thank you very much. Yes, I carry a full tool kit on the bike at all times including a multimeter. Thank you for the help. I will give that a shot.

Having a multimeter is great, but I was talking about something you can see all the time while riding. Going through the forums here you can hear tons of stories about folks being stranded on 1500s when the alternator goes out and they are unaware until the bike won't start. Why Honda did not include a gauge or even just a light is beyond me.
