Ive seen schematic images of connector C59. And the pinout for the connector. I've bought a external 7 segment LED indicator that used magnetic switches on Gear arm. But for the Neutral indicator it needs to be grounded. This is the Lt Grn/Red wire in C59.
My issue is I'd like to see an actual picture of the connector, so I can test it out before wiring.
Does anyone have a good image of the proper connector that contains the Neutral wire?
Attached are pics I took behind the yellow lights on each side... I'm guessing one of these is the correct connector???
Adding Gear Indicator to my Goldwing 89 1500
Update: Adding Gear Indicator to my Goldwing 89 1500
Found the information I need in a Goldwing Manual. It is behind the Yellow lights & body panel on the right side of the bike. Page 16-13 shows the position of the connector in a Black Bracket. It also shows the signal positions in the connector. It is the far left connector in the bracket.
The Gear display I have uses power, ground and the Neutral connector (got it on Amazon, for a few dollars). The shift causes magnets to pass by a reed switch. One count UP, the other counts DOWN. And position 0 is the neutral.... 1 > 0 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 gears. This comes in handy when sometimes I forgot what I ended up shifting at a long Light.
