WTB Rubber cover for passenger footrest
I am looking for the rubber accordian cover that goes over the mechanism that raises/lowers the passenger footrests to fit a 93 SE.
If you have any or know where I might find some please let me know.

Re: WTB Rubber cover for passenger footrest
They haven't been made for some time, and aren't really available used, as all the used ones have also deteriorated and fallen apart.WingsandThings wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 6:01 pm I am looking for the rubber accordian cover that goes over the mechanism that raises/lowers the passenger footrests to fit a 93 SE.

Re: WTB Rubber cover for passenger footrest
Thanks for the reply.
I thought it was a long shot but figured I would give it try.
I guess I will have to leave the rests in the down position when they aren't in use.

If you look at accordion way covers for machine tools you might find something that will work.
Some examples.

Thanks for the idea, it may be possible to find something like that and make it work.Rambozo wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 7:18 pm If you look at accordion way covers for machine tools you might find something that will work.

I will have to look into it. I'll update this thread if I find a good match.

I found them here:
https://www.hondaparts-direct.com/oempa ... e49c342f/y
Items 37(RT), and 52(LT).
This site DOES seem a little slow to ship (2-3 days to process), but they've had everything I ordered in stock.

I just ordered a set.
I am in Canada, they wanted 90.00 to ship internationally. 30.00 for U.S. ground shipping. I chose U.S. ground,, it accepted it and said my order is being processed. I hope they will ship but they may want me to pay the international rate. Not sure I want to spend 90.00 on shipping though.

You didn't notice this warning on the bottom of every page:jbaviera wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 4:50 pm I found them here:

Places like this stock only the most commonly sold items. Everything else they order from Honda when you place your order (which is the reason for the "processing" delay).
And of course, Honda doesn't have any.
So you can place an order with them, wait the few days, then they will come back and cancel the order, because there aren't any available from Honda.
Incidentally, just to be sure, I went onto their site and looked up some parts that I know have been out of production and unavailable for YEARS, and yet, it happily let me put them in my basket and start the checkout process.

Yeah, I've seen that. I've ordered a few parts that Partzilla said were "out of stock"(or weren't even listed), and received them. Also showed as available on Hondadirectline as well.WingAdmin wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 12:05 pmYou didn't notice this warning on the bottom of every page:jbaviera wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 4:50 pm I found them here:

I replaced mine 2 years ago. Not a bad job. I got mine from Babbitt’s. Just checked for you and they don’t have them any longer.
Just read thru and saw that someone found them for you. You should still download the Babbitt’s app. They have parts for all kinds of grownup toys!

Not a bad job if they raise and lower.J Manolis wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 8:35 pm I replaced mine 2 years ago. Not a bad job. I got mine from Babbitt’s. Just checked for you and they don’t have them any longer.

Mine were in the down position and the cables were siezed. You cannot get at the bolts when they are down. It took me a long time to get the cable working so I could raise them up. Once I got them moving I was able to get them off and lube them up but that was when the left side rubber split open.
I'll have to check out the app.

Your order is canceled out and card payment was not captured."
