Under reasonable, medium to hard acceleration, my GL1500 sometimes pops out of 2nd gear, and sometimes 3rd gear.
Is this normal? If not, is this a big fix? Should I sell it now!?
Thanks,
Doug R

If you have a heel toe shifter, get rid of it, or at the least make sure it is adjusted EXACTLY right.
First thing is if you don't have a shifter brace, get one (while you still can). If it still does that, it is a big job to fix.

No heel toe shifter... standard toe lever.
So it must be something internal? Teeth on gears grinding down?

Try the brace if you don't have one. They have been known to fix that. Honda designed a goofy system on the 1500 for some reason.
