I have recently purchased a 1991 Gl1500 woth 10K miles and took it for the first ride last night. Tried to go out tonight and got a cling ting metal sound when turning the bike over (see video below). Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this sound?

It didn't like the URL I had posted. Should be able to see it now.

Looks like this forum doesn't like the new YT shorts. I can't say I blame it, not a big fan either.
Wow even with code tags it won't come through!

It's not YouTube, it's the site - I never wrote the code to handle YouTube shorts.
In any case, that's not a healthy noise. Almost sounds like valve-hitting-piston kind of noise.
When was the last time the timing belts were changed on this bike? A 1991 with only 10,000 miles has spent a LOT of its life just sitting around, and I would have 1000% changed the timing belts before starting it, unless I knew for sure they had just recently been done.

Re: 2nd Ride Engine Issues/Noises
The belts where changed prior to the first ride. Took the covers back off and everything looks to be aligned correctly. Any other ideas? I am able to turn the engine over by hand and have now heard it on both sides. When it makes the noise is not consistent. Potentially a stuck lifter or similar?
