Cruse control

hi everyone my cruse control comes on and off with the button, when you hit set the set light comes on, it cancels with all brake switches and clutch switch, but it doesn't actually set any speed, I have vacuum at the places I need it but it won't actually set a speed, please any help will help

Have you tried waiting for it to start working? Sometimes the cruise doesn't kick in until it drops 5-10 mph.

I need to adjust my cruise, until then I hit set then up about 4-5 times until it sets the speed I want
