Dash meter panel/cover 1999?

Post by DEA316 »

I'm new to the forum and just obtained a 1999
Aspencade I'm looking for the meter cover/cowl. I've seen some ones on eBay they're of the earlier years I was wondering if they would fit the 99 or not
Thanks

All years will fit, however there are different colors. They are about $100.00 new. Check Partzilla.com.

They are available from Partzilla. I just checked. $119.00. The warehouse your dealer gets things from might be out of stock. Partzilla indicates an item unavailable if they can't get it.

If this link works. When I look at item number 11 it shows unavailable I don't know if it's unavailable in my zip code area
But if the earlier years fit I found a few of them on eBay
That's odd and then it shows available

This is the one I looked at. https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda ... e34c518e7b

Black is black, should be OK. Of course I can't guarantee it, but I would buy it if it was my bike.

Hope this helps, Tony

However, there must be something different about it with a different part number for the same color. I have a Aspencade, maybe someone with a SE will chime in.

SE will have hole for foot vent control, blanked off on Aspencade.

Sounds like a good place for a USB charge port.

I don't think it makes a difference whether it is Aspencade or SE. The Aspencade has the hole for the foot vent control but there is a rubber plug that fills that hole.

I know, but I am unable to locate a part number for that rubber plug, so maybe it is included with the panel under one part number and not with the other? Otherwise I have no idea why the Aspencade has a different part number than the SE.

The rubber plug is called a Grommet. P/N: 64236-MG9-770. For Aspencade and Interstate '96, '97, '98, '99 and "00.

And I am pretty sure that the Meter Panels are interchangeable even though the Honda Part numbers differ somewhat.
