Just a color question

I had a 2000 quite a while ago and the sidecovers, trunk sides and "gas tank" sides had accent panels on them as do most 1500's. My 90 1500SE doesn't have these particular ones. Anyone know when they became standard fare? Anybody know if the panels (assuming they are simply vinyl wraps) are available anywhere? Just wonderin'...

Thanx for the link Andy. Looks like the main color and accent colors were unique to the1990 SE in the goldwing line, however I do know of a Pacific Coast I believe to be the same body color. I'll be getting some pacific pearl mixed to keep on hand. Guess I'll see about the accent colour for touch up's as well. I always thought these panels were vinyl and was curious what year the wings came out with the added trunk sides, side covers, and "tank" sides wearing them. Thanx again for the reply.

The Pacific Coast is close, but it's not quite the same. I had both, and when side by side, you could see a difference.

According to the paint color link, that makes it Pearl Glacier white, while the '90 has Pacific Pearl White nh251p which is the paint code under my gas cap door. The 89 Pacific coast also shows as nh251p on a non related paint matching site.

How long have you had this bike? I appears to me that there are some mismatches with pieces/parts. The seat color does not match the shelter top or trunk backrest. The rotor covers are from later models. And I always thought the trunk and 'tank' sides on the SEs also had/have the accent panels. But my remembries have been known to take a break now and then.

Hi Ron.
My question has been when did the trunk sides, sidecovers and tank sides get accent panels. I remember seeing a wing with an eagle scene painted on the trunk sides at Americade one year. I thought it odd at the time. Must have been an 88 - 90ish? The rotor covers are new Showchrome pieces I put on about a month ago. I was unable to locate a silver fender bracket that somehow got damaged. I've kept the original covers in case I find one. The seat and associated plastic are all Mocha, the specific color for the Pacific Pearl White 90SE . I ordered the matching Utopia mocha backrest you see on the saddle. Just the lighting in the photo. I found this bike last year with 30k km's on her in northern New Brunswick.
