Bad fuel pump or junk in the tank
Took my 1996 GL1500SE on a 250 mile trip on Thursday. After about a 100 miles nonstop the bike started cutting in and out. Pulled over and by feathering the throttle I was able to get it running good again. This happened about 3 or 4 more times on my way down. I also noticed that while it was doing this if I cracked the throttle wide open she would really bog down hard, otherwise the bike ran great for me. I am thinking it is the fuel pump starting to go or I got some bad gas when I filled up that same morning. Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all for the help.

I would start by checking the vacuum operated fuel petcock. If you do not have a service manual or have not read how to test that fuel, valve, bypass it and see if the symptoms cease.

Pop the gas cap and see if that corrects it. The vented caps can become plugged. A soak in cleaner will often take care of them.
