Won't start need guidance

Post by Sassy »

Hey guys, went to start the bike the other day and it made some weird electrical noises. Didn't turn over, then releasing the start button the noise continued. Needed to shut the key off to stop what I thought was relay buzz.
Relays have been replaced with Scott's except the blue one in pics which shows a little heat.
Bike will start bypassing the starter solenoid but the solenoid bench tests good clicking good.
By passed the kill switch and starter button.
Have moved around relays cept the blue one it's different. Checked all fuses. Dash seems fine.
Thinking the blue relay,,, opinions?

The Blue Relay is Relay #7, Position Relay. It is a normally closed relay and it is used to control the Position Lights. It will have nothing to do with starting the engine.

What is your battery voltage? Also check with the headlights on, too.

Well after sitting on the bench for a day it was stone dead!
I was boosting with the bike battery in the loop, when I removed the bike battery and just had cables to the car battery,,, HAPPY!
I don't understand what was going on or what I was doing wrong but,,, new battery on order.
Thanks for the input.
