Replacing 2000 GL1500 blinker/headlight assembly

Hey all, is there a video or step-by-step set of directions to replace the blinker/headlight assembly for a GL1500?

I seem to remember seeing one a few years ago, where it instructed the mechanic (term used loosely) to pull the front fairing covers over the radiators, remove the running light, then remove the wiring harness from the mounting bracket just underneath the lower edge of the fairing, pull it out, tie a string around the harness ends on both sides of the bike, pull the harness in towards the triple tree, then to the reverse when installing the new harness.

I did this on my '89 wing, and it worked!!! I just wanted to send the self-help instructions/video to my mechanic because he never heard of this trick before, but I am unable to locate it.

I would do the work myself, but with my continued neck issues, it's out of the question now.

I guess I am dense and have no idea what it is your are saying about removing radiator covers and fishing out a harness.

Take a look at this post. It is about replacing the headlight bulbs but all you need to know about replacing turn signal and position lights is included.
