Hello all! I was riding home last night and realized that my side bag lights are out...both sides. I really doubt that they both burned out simulaneously. I installed them last spring. None of the other lights are out on the bike. Just those two lightbars. Is there a fuse or something I can check before I go buying new ones?
Thanks in advance.
Barry

It depends on which ones you have.

I installed the cheaper version of that lightbar from Parts Unlimited P/N: DS280821. I installed them into the running lights as the directions indicated. AND that's what is strange all the running lights in the rear work just fine. It's just the saddlebag lights (both sides) that don't.

What have you done to troubleshoot the problem so far?
Recheck the connections you made and use a VOM to verify that you have power on the wires.

Have not done anything just yet. That's my Saturday project. I intend on looking at my connections but have a hard time believing that both sides magically came undone. One side, possibly...both sides unlikely. I'll break out the old VOM and post what I find.

The good news is you installed them recently and have the directions so should be an easy search. One thing to pay attention to is the hinge area and the flexing of the wire.
Also, there is a possibility that one side has been out for a while and just didn't get noticed.

If you used a common ground for the two lights I'd start with that connection. If your instructions say to hook up both to the same wire you may have made a defective splice. At any rate I would start with your initial connections.
