1990 gl1500 windscreen
Can anyone point me in the direction on any info on how the adjustable windscreen is assembled. Something is wrong with the right lock lever as I cannot pull it down into the lock position. I think something is disconnected as the lever don't move. The left side functions as it should. The mirror trim also seems to be somewhat out of place compared to the left side. Thank you in advance, Dave.

If the mirror trim is not correctly positioned, it can block that lever from operating properly. I would look at pulling it free and positioning it correctly.Ferdy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 9:27 am Can anyone point me in the direction on any info on how the adjustable windscreen is assembled. Thank you! Trim is clear and lever is clear. Windshield still slides down from the locked "up" position. Is there a way to tighten that up? Thank you for your help. Dave.

Re: 1990 gl1500 windscreen
I had the same slippage with my '99 and the stock windscreen. The dealer replaced the windscreen under warranty (this was many years ago) but after a couple of years went by it started slipping again. I bought an aftermarket windscreen which was a bit thicker and that eliminated the slippage. However, it is a mite harder to adjust when I change heights. I can't remember when I last adjusted it.
