Rear Suspension Electrics

Post by harry37 »

Hi All
Due to a disability I had my GL1500 converted to a trike so the rear suspension and compressor are no longer n use.

Does this mean that relay No 5 and fuses 6, 7 and 10 are now spare or does anyone know if these are used to power other parts of the bike?

Thanks

Harry

You will most likely have to contact the folks that did the trike conversion to your bike to see if they repurposed them.

Hi Mike B
I will do that but if they didn't reallocate them were these fuses and relay used for anything else on a 97 GL1500SE.

Thank you for your initial reply.

Fuse 7 is switched power when in park for the air outlet. Fuse 6 just feeds the relay contacts. However, the relay coil signal is sent to the LCD, so it might need to stay.
All the others are also used for other functions in the LCD panel.
Can you still use the compressor to fill tires?

Hi
The compressor was removed when my trike was built.

Thanks for the information. I think I will leave well alone.

Your assistance is really appreciated.

Sorry to hear that.
I also have a '95 A converted to trike (Champion), they replaced the left shock, and added an extra middle one, both are presurized ones, so now I have three air shocks on the back, all controlled by the original compresor/system. They work like charm.
