Hello to all! I recently acquired a low mileage 94 G/W 1500 SE. Going through some basic new to me service items, fluids, filters, front tire. Also did timing belts and fork seals so now that is over and done with. How long do you go between belt changes? I'll look around on site and see if I can come up with answer!
Looking forward to many miles of riding this bike, been riding all my life and finally got around to owning one!
I have been recently involved with scooters and running in the scooter cannonball...definitely different (and fun).
Hope to meet up with some of you in here or on the road someday!
Cheers, Eric

Coast to coast on a scooter? I'm not sure if I should call that commitment or insanity.

Perhaps a little bit of both. I find it to be quite entertaining...enough to do it again this coming June!

On a belt change you should be OK on 50000 miles or 10 years, whichever is first.
Having said that I had a belt fail at 2 yrs and some 20000 miles on my Toyota car... Thankfully not an "interference" engine like the Goldwing. It's better to change more often and be safe, otherwise the bike is just "Spare Parts"
