The slides can be gummed up if sticking up. No vacuum the would fall back down.

Re: idler remote adjustment
I've seen them stick when there was a small piece of grit stuck between the slide and its bore. A slight flush with solvent can clear it.

Re: idler remote adjustment
do you have an ideal why its running so high and not a linkage problem i can see, every thing moves full motion. it just seem like something all of sudden stuck open when i was riding it

Re: idler remote adjustment
As I said earlier, dig into the carbs.
Fully strip them down, do an ultrasonic cleaning of them. Inspect the vacuum slides and accelerator pump rubbers for pin holes and cracks. We can't diagnose the problem without being there and doing what you need to do.

Re: idler remote adjustment
i finally found the problem. just before i started to take the carbs off, i saw a very small piece of trash stuck on the edge off the butterfly that keep it crack open. it was real small you barely could see but it was enough to keep it open and cause it to ramp up.with some needle nose plies and some patients i got it out of there and it ran like it was suppose to. put it back together and runs good. maybe one clean the cars but not today. lol
thanks everyone for the help
