Hi all,
Am new to forum
Just bought a 1995 GL1500 with the R\H lower fairing missing.
I have located one off a 1991 model along with indicator and driving\fog light.
Can only see pictures, as parts are not local, but they do look as if they would fit.
Would anyone be able to confirm this please.
Cheers
Craig

1988-2000 gl1500, all body parts are the same molds. Se, Aspencade and the Interstate all use the same body parts.

Great forum...
I picked up the bike yesterday evening, it had been sitting for over 10 months so was checking over before I rode home.
The rear brake pedal had a lot of travel before any braking and the front, although not soft, didn't seem to have much bite. (maybe me as am used to a lighter bike)
Didn't know until I read on here that the rear brake pedal was linked to the front left disc.
Going to carry on looking through the docs and hopefully get the brakes sorted.
Thanks to all for the detailed information

Hi,
I don't seem to have the air valve on the front forks, I assume that some models don,t have this feature?
Also...
Whilst riding over small bumps I though i could hear a rattle from the front, had a look and its the silver trim above the light that is not latched down properly.
If I release the windscreen adjustment levers it frees it off but when I push the levers down the end just above the light doesn't mate up with the bracket, so it is able to flap about.
Tried to push on the trim whilst putting the screen locking levers down but its still quite a bit off catching. Can't see any other way to adjust apart from trying to move the bracket?
Cheers
Craig

Correct, Schrader(air) valves only came on the later SE models.
Someone might have missed clipping the bottom clips just above the headlight.
Look up how to change the headlight bulbs.

Checking the headlight bulb replacement doc did the trick...
The bracket above the headlight was fitted upside down
Thank you..

Thats a lot easier than turning the bike upside down to fit the bracket.

And it is really hard to steer the bike that way.

Apparently some Aspencades as well, my 93 has them, unless a PO replaces the forks with ones off an SE.

Also - It doesn't have the headlight 'flash' button option either.
Presume some models don't have it?
Thanks

A question about the radio system please.
I only have two of the four speakers working, one front and the other diagonally opposite.
Do these speakers fail or would it most probably be something more sinister in the radio itself?
Thank you..

First place to look would be corrosion in the fader, especially if it is an aftermarket.

Thanks for the reply.
The fader would be the balance control?
My panel is like this but dont seem to have a fader control..

The fader can be almost anywhere. The stock Honda had them in the left control pod, or near the ignition key. The aftermarket ones I've seen a ton of places. They tend to just be an unlabeled knob.
Search Google images for "GL1500 fader" and you will see the Honda options with a knob that matches the radio.
