1989 GL 1500 trike converted drum to caliper brakes
first off great site!..so much great info has helped allot...but i did a conversion from drum brakes to caliper using the stock rear master cylinder but cannot get a solid brake pedal. I have tried the hold down trick, run two bottles of brake fluid without results. It has new brake lines on the rear, i rebuilt the master cylinder, bought a vac bleeder kit..i get some air but when it gets clear, no bubbles i still dont have a solid pedal.its really crazy...thinking the master cylinder is bypassing...please help!..thanks!!

You might not have enough volume from that master for the three calipers.

You could tie the two front calipers to the hand brake, and the two rear to the foot brake, or check with a trike shop for a larger rear master. I'm sure there are a few solutions out there. First would be to make sure everything you have is in good shape and working properly. Pressure tests, etc.

I did notice that I don't have the pressure on the back calipers that I have on the front caliper..I may block the front at the master Cylinder and see what happens...I'm just so worn down from bleeding this thing ¡
