how do you remove the rear truck light on a 95 aspencade? the lens seem to be cracking from the cold.

Re: rear trunk light
There are little acorn nuts on the inside and the light housing has threaded studs.

Re: rear trunk light
CAUTION! The studs that these nuts attach to are pressed into the plastic light housing. While it didn't happen to me, I have read several posts where the owner broke the stud loose from the plastic and couldn't get the nut off without cutting it. Be gentle.

Re: rear trunk light
I have had this happen. The studs are knurled, and the knurled end is molded into the plastic. If the acorn nuts are seized too tight, the knurled end breaks free inside the plastic, and spins instead of holding fast.Andy Cote wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 6:17 am CAUTION! I have fixed this by heating the acorn nut with a high-output soldering iron, to get it warm enough that the knurled end slightly melts the ABS plastic. Then I wiggle it around to reseat the knurled end in the melted plastic, wait for it to cool and solidify, then gently remove the acorn nut.
