replacing coolant hoses F and G 99 GL1500

Post by HognDas »

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what all I have to do to have access to the two coolant hoses that come from the water pump and go up to the carbs. The shop manual show them as F and G but don't show how to get to the upper portions/what to remove so that they can be replaced. Did a search here and on Steve Saunders but haven't found anything yet.Appreciate any and all help. Thanks

I removed the carbs on my bike and rebuilt them, in the process I had to remove the two upper ends of the hoses in question, I found a youtube video that showed how to do it and I thought it was easy when I did mine, if all you are doing is removing the hoses but not the carbs than even easier but I would still suggest that you watch this video , it even shows you what tools you will need to buy and where to get them for real cheap, thats what I did.
