Emergency before Daytona bike week

Post by CarlosWing »

 guys good evening! This weekend has been a complete nightmare, I’m planning to go to Daytona bike week in 5 days but I don’t know if I’m going to make it there. I took out the carbs and cleaned, I just realized that the diaphragm had small hole and I replaced it, but I don’t know why one of the diaphragm it’s not opening, in fact when open the throttle I can feel that the diaphragm was trying to close, so my question is, what I did wrong? Could I inverted some of the vacuum lines and it’s messing up the carbs? It’s the carburetor on the right side ( if you are sitting over the bike is the right side ) …. Ok next question, I just installed a boss stereo head unit ( because the radio wasn’t working) , a car play unit , new alternator dampers and when I did some sparks came on when I placed the wires back on the alternator when I was installing it ( yes I forgot to disconnect the battery, I’m sorry ) , so could that damage my alternator? Because after that I just turn on the bike for a few minutes I turn it off and then when I tried to turn it on again I couldn’t start it, the battery was dead , there is anything that I can do?? I’m planning to go to Daytona on Friday but I don’t know if I can fix it, please help guys

Depending on what you shorted, you may have done some damage. But it's pretty robust, so first thing check all the fuses including the dogbone.

I checked all the fuses and everything looks good except for the dog bones, I’m gonna try to do that later today
