I have a 1999 GL1500 that is the color Candy Spectra Red. I looked up the paint code R176C and cannot seem to find a match at my local paint store. I found a few websites but they seem to want an arm and a leg for a spray can.
My question is does anybody know what is the closest color that comes close to matching? Will any of the Dupli Color perfect match automotive paint spray cans come close? Thanks in advance!
I'm sure you could match the color, but not the depth. That is a clear candy red applied over a silver metalflake base coat, then a clear on top. It also takes some skill to match when putting on the candy red. Above my pay grade for sure. Base and clear is my limit.
It all depends on what is acceptable to you. Try and find a car with a color that is close enough for you, then you can get that paint. Or just repaint the entire bike and get whatever you want. Some automotive paint shops will match a paint, but the good ones get big bucks for that. Last time I had it done it was over $200 for a pint and that was ten years ago.

50 bucks isn't too bad at all! I will look into that! Thanks!
