fans were working when i got home
next day they stopped working
fuse is good
before i start tearing it apart
does a relay control them. if so, which one
fans not working, 1997 gl 1500

Locate yours..It should have 1 wire attached to it..Turn on your key ..there should be volts there(test light) and short this wire to ground(radiator housing)..the fans should come on..If no voltage on the switch look for a blown fuse.
