I am doing an oil change on my 93SE.
I tried to drain the oil out of a drain bolt on the bottom left side of the engine,, it is an allan head bolt. Only about a cup of oil came out so I looked around and found the 17 mil bolt on the bottom back right side of the engine and then all the oil drained out.
My question is why that allan head plug is on the bottom left? Is that an area that holds a bit of oil that will not drain through the 17 mil hole and should it be removed to drain all the oil completely out?

Re: Oil change/drain question
No need to remove the Allen head plug. Just the 17mm one. That is the only one that the owners manual says to remove when changing the oil. There is not enough oil that comes out of the Allen head one to worry about. I think I remember something about the Allen head one was there for access when the motor was manufactured. Just don't remember for sure.

Re: Oil change/drain question
yup the allen head is used during engine manufacture/disassembly.
No need to remove it, nothing hurt by removing and replacing it.
