Hey riders,
Went down in the underground parking lot the other day and found a lot of oil/grease under the front wheel. Got time today to look at it and its a mess. Anyone have suggestions as to my problem. I am guessing I have developed a leak in the fork seal. I did have them replaced some time ago and maybe the job wasn't done right and has been slowly leaking all the time and maybe got worse now. I know a lot of speculation. I thought it might be my brakes but they seem to be working fine without and drop in the fluid. I have attached some pics so you can see the situation.

So messy. Would maybe suggest take to new mechanic if have someone in mind. Or you could rebuild yourself its not as difficult as it maybe seems. Did this myself and discover someone had install the progressive springs. It must have had 15w fork oil previous it felt a little firm. Put in 10w new and now its a little soft.

Hi Happy,
That is what I did last time. I took my forks off and took them somewhere to get progressive springs put in. I have discovered a mechanic who has a shop and actually rides a Goldwing so maybe I will get in touch with them. They do remote so I might get them to come look at it first so I don't go to a bunch of work for nothing.

Do you have schrader valves in the forks?

Hope it works out good for you. Even maybe if you have to ship the forks to a good place thinking you possibly be way ahead. Good luck!!glrider7 wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 5:53 pm Hi Happy,
