Start issue.

Post by Wtfiron »

Hi, I have a question for the gurus here I’m new to the Goldwing and I had inadvertently let my 92 Aspencade, get wet in the rain and when I let it dry out the next day, it wouldn’t start. It will do one crank it sounds like. then stop dead, and only in neutral. It will not do anything in gear with the side stand up and the clutch disengaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated. At the moment this is my only transportation.

Pull the spark plugs and spin it over. Sounds like you might have fluid in the cylinders.

Any chance you left the key in the ACC position and not the off position? Could have drained the battery. Been there, done that. I always pull the key out some now so I know it's in the off position.

No, sir, I thought the battery might’ve been the issue at first as well so I got my tender and put it on and checked with my multimeter and all was fine in that regard.
