shifter lever

Post by drmorick »

Gentlemen,
I have a 95 Aspencade, what I would like to know if I can rotate the shifter lever up I one or two
splines to be able to fit my boot under so I can shift better without hurting the shifting.

Thanks for the advice

There are alignment marks, first make sure it is even in the proper location. There is not a lot of leeway where you can adjust that. Also have a look at some of the shifter threads here. It is a strange setup with an extension that swings in an arc rather than rotating. A shifter brace can go a long way to making shifting better. Most folks find there are problems if you try to reposition it. You still need to be able to get your boot in between the cylinder head and the shifter. That combined with the fact that it swings opposite a normal bike, makes adjustments tricky.
