I have been busy accessorising, and have a Quadlock mount for my iPhone and a box-full of Go Pro attachments. However, I am yet to find one single reference as to how to mount accessories to my GL1500SE. My local Honda dealer in Hamilton, NZ, has promised to research this, but after three days of silence, I suspect they are having the same lack of success I have had.
Most VLOGGERs will gloss over this, quickly panning over where their gadgets are mounted, invariably waving a hand to conceal their handiwork, or usually keeping the camera angle above the handlebars, so you only see the top bit, which is no help at all.
How have members done this? It wasn't a problem when I purchased my Speedmaster last year, but I had to move to three wheels due to spinal problems. I'm loving the Goldwing, but don't want to stick cameras to my helmet, and while the cubby happily accomodates my iPhone, I'd love to mount it so I can use the maps.
Help!!

Re: Mounting Accessories: Any suggestions??
Many people use Ram Mounts for accessories. CycleMax also has a few styles of phone, drink, and GPS holder mounts that go on the handlebars. There are several topics and reviews on this site about various phone and GPS holders. As to camera mounts, not as much. There is a review of a dual dashcam type setup that is mounted under the headlight. People have stuck GoPros all over the place, but I've never seen anything that doesn't look just like a GoPro stuck on something. There have been some on the dash, but the glare looking through the windscreen was awful. There are also some purpose-built side mount helmet cams that don't look as goofy as a GoPro on top or on the chin bar.

Thanks for your response. Any chance of a link to the forums you mentioned? The only one I found was one asking the same questions I am asking.
I am yet to find any handlebar mounts suitable for the Goldwing. I measured the circumference of the handlebars, and no handlebar mount I have found will manage the rectangular shape of these behemoths. Even my Honda dealership is struggling.
Like I said, all the You Tube videos I've seen, including Scott's, show the accessory but never how it's mounted. So I remain completely in the dark.

Ok Guybrush,
Most of these don't actually mount to the bar but instead use the screws that hold the brake or clutch master cylinder on.

Even some camera ones.

You just have to figure out what you are looking for and sometimes be a little creative.

Re: Mounting Accessories: Any suggestions??
Thanks so much for your response. I think I'm onto a winner here! I should be able to mount my phone (my trusty navigation and comms device, and have the Go Pro on the other side.
Next step is to mount a USB Charger and battery indicator. The cup-holder will have to take a back seat, but I do notice I need to hydrate when I'm riding.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

If you have passenger's arm rest, Butler makes a cup holder for an insulated 32 Oz cup with a straw & lid. Keeps drinks cold.
