1990 GL1500SE - value?
Just curious of what a 1990 GL1500SE, with 100k mi, and in very good shape might be worth? Just a ball park. I found one I may have a look at.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: 1990 GL1500SE - value?
its worth what you will pay.
Me personally, I would not pay more than about $3,000 for a bike that age, and it would have to be in amazing condition with all records of maintenance done. $2,500 would be more what I would like to pay.
But I am cheap.

Value is difficult to say but GL1500's have held there value amazingly well. You can get some idea looking on facebook marketplace, ebay and cycletrader. 100k isn't bad for a goldwing but there are many for sale with far less. If bike runs and you like it would agree maybe $3000 or less. Depends a lot on condition.

Yeah I was thinking about the $3000 range, but I too like $2500 even better.

Red color combo was always favorite. Did a quick search on facebook marketplace and there are a lot of gl1500's for sale in Texas. Texas is so big not sure if any of these are close to you. Definitely some to choose from.

Re: 1990 GL1500SE - value?
I am a bit south of San Antonio, plus I am lazy. I know that if I chill out and have patience that there are so many Gold Wings that one will be available relatively near to me eventually.
I check Facebook too, but I can only look, since I am not (nor will I ever be) a member. If I see something I get one of my friends to contact them.
It's too bad trikes are so pricey. I have some physical issues that make trikes look inviting, especially for the future. But even the 1500s are out of my range.
But I still ride two wheels - I currently have a V-Star 650 I putt around on.

Feeling the same not a member on facebook also. Trying to avoid if possible.
Yep the trikes do look good. See some nice ones locally but they are expensive still.
Nice that you have something to ride thats all that matters.
1998 Honda Goldwing GL1500 $4,300 35,783 miles Graham, TX not sure if this is any closer for you. Not crazy for the heel/toe shifter but doesn't look bad.

That's a nice one for sure, but Graham is about 5-1/2hrs away, one direction...
I'm kinda limiting myself to maybe 1hr travel one way. I did the same when I was looking for my V-Star and ended up scoring a great one within 15mi away. I've got patience, and cash, so I'm sitting tight.
And thanks guys for pointing out the nice bikes!

Re: 1990 GL1500SE - value?
Unfortunately, when craigslist went to pay to post for vehicles, they lost a lot of business.
The good thing is those on there tend to be better bikes since it is a serious seller.
I have a facebook account (created it right when it was made available to the general public, did it to get some $50 promotional giftcard from Intel, which I got), but use it solely for the market place. It don't like it, but it is where things are being posted and where people look.
It is a PITA to search through the crap there (craigslist search is much better), and if you sell something, you get tons of "is it available" messages with no follow up when you respond.
What is your max budget?
I can keep an eye out for you.
Prices should start to drop a little soon, the buying season is about over for Texas since it is getting so hot. People are not buying as much, so sellers should start dropping the price if they really want to get rid of it. March through June tend to have higher prices, with a little bump back up in October/November.
Problem is you do need to be willing to drive a little further. I live in Katy, and my 1500 I got in New Braunfels, and my 1800 I got just south of Dallas. I just bought a CB900C west of San Antonio.

Re: 1990 GL1500SE - value?
I'm looking at anything up to $4000, but would really like to pay $3000 or less. And I am in no hurry. Preferably Aspy or SE, maybe '95 and up if possible.
I do have a line on an '88 but had pushed it to the back burner as I don't really like to buy the first year of a new generation, and I heard the 88s have an overly complicated vacuum system.
