How do I get this piece off?

Post by Hearn660 »

I am looking for a the method on removing the center piece of the trunk, so I can replace the lights. Any inks on here I have tried to search the forum but I don’t know if I am typing it in correctly or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, the light sockets come out from inside of the trunk.
There are two little panels that snap out, each one hides a light socket.
Look inside the trunk, right behind the lights.

Thanks Rambozo, what hold the lower trunk cover on the Phillips head screws underneath er the light fixtures? Is there anything else? Just trying to be cautious.

Yessir I am looking to change the little ones in the center I wasn’t sure if there was a DIY or a video that could help.

This will allow you access to the taillights but if you want to remove the center I think you have to remove the inside latch cover for the trunk but, be careful reinstalling that cover or you will find that your trunk latch will be un-openable. I think there are a couple of nuts on the back side to remove the center light assembly.
