Where can I mount a phone and how to put air in my front forks

Post by KAW1185 »

Good afternoon.

Since my 95SE does not have "traditional handle bars" how the heck do we mount a phone holder on them?

And how do I check and adjust air pressure in my front forks? Is there a video for this procedure?

Have not had this bike quite 4 weeks yet, so I am still learning.

I am getting more comfortable riding in the almost 2000 miles that I have been riding it so far.

The way most of us mount our phones is with a Ram Mount. Mine mounts with the screws that mount the clutch or brake master cylinder to the handlebars. This mount has a ball where you can affix the specific accessory for your phone. Many are 'X' configuration and their spring and rubber ends hold tightly to your phone so it is secure.

There are air valves under the rubber fork caps. A small hand pump is required as a compressor will blow out the seals. With good springs you typically run zero air at rest.

IF you don't find air valves under the caps you might try this cheat.
put bike on the center stand.
_Raise your front wheel just off the floor.
_Loosen the 2 caps TWO TURNS no more and let set overnight.
_Morning tighten the caps.

The unknown amount of trapped air gives you 'X' amount of what you're looking for. It's unknown due to oil levels might be unequal.
Point of safety is not removing the caps since Progressive springs might be installed.
