Friends,
Quick question for those that change their own tires using the center stand method WingAdmin has in the DIY section.
Namely, will the bike be stable on the center stand with both tires removed?
I've usually done them one at a time, but my local shop no longer mounts tires not purchased from them and have to drive an hour away so I'd like to be able to drop them both off together.
I've never had them both off at the same time so just want a sanity check before proceeding. Thanks!
Can I change both tires at the same time?

Re: Can I change both tires at the same time?
Yup, so long as you are sure nobody will be messing with the bike.
Remove rear tire as normal, and with tire off, jack up front of bike till front tire is off ground and remove.
Maybe use a jackstand or 2 under the swingarm and/or blocks of wood on the front to stablize it.

They look pretty scary without the wheels on but if the front is supported good they are just as stable on the centerstand as with the wheels on.
Enjoying the Darkside

It can be done, just be sure it is well supported. Use blocking against the frame, NOT the engine block to support it. And make sure it is tied down - a 900-lb motorcycle toppling over can be a lethal experience.

Sweet. What you show is basically what I'm planning on doing. Looks like the same color as mine too, thanks.

Looks kinda sketchy but just take your time and it should be fine.
