Howdy folks!
I spent a great part of yesterday searching for an answer but out of patients now.
yup, I tried searching on here but very overwhelming.
So my problem is not getting into neutral, rather getting the green light to use reverse. I have to get off the bike and gently find the sweet spot using my hand, foot can get it sometimes but very seldom.
It had the problem when I bought it but in the past 8 months I had both knees totally replaced, and getting it into reverse is more important today then it was 8 months ago.
Looking here to find a way to repair it on my own if possible. I have the Clyman repair manual but can't really locate my issue.
I hope this is not confusing because I did post something on Facebook and I had someone actually think I didn't know what neutral is.
Thank you

If your clutch is dragging, getting into neutral can be tough. How long since you have flushed the clutch fluid and bled the lines?
Have you tried with the engine off?

Thank you for the reply,
I haven't changed the fluid, and it doesn't matter if the engine is running or not. Putting it in neutral is not a problem, getting the green neutral light on to get reverse to work is the problem.

Ok, if it's just fiddly with the light, I bet it's time for a new gear position switch. As I recall there is no provision for adjustment on the GL1500.
