Hello all!
I've recently purchased my first 1500 after having owned 1100's for a log time(still have 3).
I'm feeling like my rear suspension may need some attention and I'm trying to figure out a couple things.
1- does the 1997 SE model have more than 2 shocks/springs in the rear.
2-does the 1997SE model have only one rear shock connected to the air compressor system with the other being just a regular shock absorber
Thanks for your time!

Re: 1997 gl1500SE rear suspension
Number two is correct.
The left side is a regular shock/spring.
The right side is a air shock connected to the onboard compressor.
Good luck with the new bike.
Once you get it sorted out, you will love that machine.
