Hi everyone!
I own a 2008 GL1800P. However, I was the in-person buyer for my Brother of a 1990 GL1500 Aspencade. This bike came with an aftermarket double din bluetooth touchscreen radio. With the rest of the old radio hole covered not prettily.
With the aftermarket radio, is there anyway i can run the CB radio through it?
Is there anyway to get Rider-Passenger intercom back with out finding and reinstalling an original GL1500 radio?
It would just be a shame to have the CB components and not be able to use them. (CB fairing interface, CB attenna, CB handlebar control)
Its not a big deal if it not possible to make work. Im pretty sure my brother is plenty happy with having the bluetooth touchscreen radio, but if it is possible i would love to install it for him before he moves to my location in November.

Yes and no. Yes, it could be done. However, if you have to ask, you probably don't have the skills to do it, and it would be VERY cost prohibitive to hire it done.

This is no problem. Just get a pair of any modern Bluetooth headsets and they have an intercom function built-in, even bike to bike, so that can often replace CB use, too.

Do a little research and make a list of what you want. It sounds like the radio installation was not great. You might be able to remedy that with a radio blanking panel that was made by one of the members here. Hard to get at the moment, but I believe the project was transferred to another person and may be back up and running. Things like onboard music, GPS and more have largely been made obsolete by the smartphone. So many people just use a Bluetooth headset and skip the Honda stuff. The stock Honda system was good in its day, but that was over 20 years ago.
