Paper that came INSIDE package with EBC rotor states "The ONLY material that EBC recommend or warranty for use with its billet steel rotor is EBC organic material or the new V-Pad range. A sintered metal pad is totally OFF limits here."
I did NOT see the above statements while researching or purchasing brake rotors and pads.
So would the OEM Honda pads be off limit on this EBC rotor ??
I know I should have went with OEM brake parts. Please don't pick on me too much as I am sensitive. Lol

I really can't give you a legitimate answer but, Most manufacturers would recommend that you use only their parts. Marketing strategy, and they do not want other manufacturers getting your business,

Billet steel rotors are much softer than the OEM rotors, and they have a lower coefficient of friction. That's why they want you using soft, organic pads - both to provide enough braking friction, and to prevent rapid wear of the rotors. Sintered (semi-metallic) or ceramic pads will quickly wear out billet steel rotors, and won't give you sufficient braking capability.Jonbarking3 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 3:03 pm Paper that came INSIDE package with EBC rotor states "The ONLY material that EBC recommend or warranty for use with its billet steel rotor is EBC organic material or the new V-Pad range. So even though the vendor is telling me the OEM pads are OK to use with EBC Rotor I should not ?!?
So I have a choice return EBC rotor, if they will take it back, and add $177 for OEM Rotor or purchase EBC pads.
Decisions Decisions
Glad I have it apart to put HEL lines & Speedy bleeders on.

What a conundrum.
And just to state the obvious, but with it having linked brakes, you don't want to be running sintered at one end of the bike, and non-sintered at the other: same all round.
