I just did the timing belts on my 95 Aspy. Both timing marks were dead-on, but (see pic) the center pulley was off by maybe 1cm. The bike ran perfectly before I did the belts so I just went on with the job and figured I would ask for opinions after. Any comments?
It almost looked like the previous belt-changer commented 'OK' right by that pulley...?

Re: Pulley timing mark off
Looks like you might be a tooth off. The problem with pictures is the camera angle can really mess with how it looks. You need to look at it dead on which is not really something you can do with the engine in the bike. The rear flange line is the easiest to line up since it's almost in the same plane as the case arrow. They will run a tooth off, but not make as much power.

I agree with Rambozo. Reset your belts with crankshaft dead on.Rambozo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 3:28 am Looks like you might be a tooth off.
