Throttle cable route

Post by harry37 »

Hi I recently replaced my thermostat but now I have put everything back together the engine revs when I turn the handlebars to the right.

Can anyone show me the correct routing of the throttle cables, I believe I have done it wrong.

Thanks

Behind the handlebar in the center, ie Riders side as opposed to Headlamp side, there is a bracket, sort of a large lip that both the throttle cables sit in, it's in direct line with the angle of the throttle cable after they leave the twistgrip, they then run along the L/H frame tube and then go vertically down to the carbs.

If you look at my article changeing throttle cables by Aged Bikeman you will see what I mean,

Come back to me if you need more help

Hi I can confirm I haven't routed the choke cable correctly, which is a bonus because it is easier to access than the throttle cables.

Can you confirm how the choke cable goes around the radiator cap filler tube?

Mine goes between the reservoir and the handlebars, then in front of the filler tube with radiator cap.

I'm not sure how to attach a photos on this forum, but I could email it to you my email address is harry37@ntlworld.com

Thanks again
Harry
