Model code confusion

Post by harry37 »

Hi
Hoping for some clarity please.

I have a 97 GL1500se model code SEV. I'm looking at buying braided brake and clutch lines as mine are original and looking a little worse for wear.

I found some and the sellers website says for GL1500 1988 to 2000 but then states model code
J SEY. The seller doesn't know if they will fit or not.

I wondered if there is any difference in brake and clutch lines between the 2 models. I'm running standard handlebars no risers and standard levers.

Hope someone can advise me.

Ride safe and thanks 👍.

you could check a parts diagram and sere if they have the same part number I checked and 1988 - 1997 are the same number,25125-MT8-003, I could not find a number for 98 - 2000

Thank you, I believe they will fit.

I'll make the purchase in the next couple of weeks and update.

Thanks for your help.
